The group presents the popular music of the period from 1816-1865. The music and arrangements are researched to present an accurate portrayal of the music heard during that period.
Named for the fact every band member has a Civil War veteran in their family tree. Songs include Billy in the Low Ground, Southern Soldier Boy, Lakes of Ponchartrain, Beautiful Dreamer, Buffalo Gals, Brother Green, Kathleen Mavorneen, Listen to the Mockingbird, Battle of Shiloh Hill, Mason's Apron, Oh Shenandoah, Johnny McGill, When Upon the Field of Glory. Flowers of Edinborough/Red Wing, Battle Cry of Freedom, Drink Your Tea Love, Just Before the Battle Mother, Dixie, The Homespun Dress, The Girl I Left Behind Me, Golden Slippers, Lovely Nancy, Lorena, The Greenwood Tree, Yellow Rose of Texas, Cupid's Waltz, Ten Penny Bit, and Goober Peas.

A portion of the proceeds from this recording will be donated to the Association for the Preservation of Civil War Sites and the White House and Museum of the Confederacy.
